♡Autumn Beauty Essentials♡

Hello! ♡
Now that we're well into October, autumn has officially arrived, and everywhere I look, I see trees in beautiful red, gold, orange and brown hues. The fleeting beauty of autumn is what makes it even more special. But putting that aside, in this post I'll show you what you should have in your make-up bag this season, if you don't already. With those items you'll be able to create make-up looks that best reflect this time of year ^^

♡ Aegyo-Sal- Smiling Eyes ♡

Hello! ♡
Aegyo-sal is another look that was briefly mentioned in my K-Pop idol make-up tutorial that deserves a post of its own.

What is aegyo-sal, then? If you squint or smile, you will see pronounced pouches of fat under your eyes. They are naturally more prominent in children. They make your eyes look bigger, cuter and more youthful, which is why they are so popular in Asia.

Do not confuse aegyo-sal with eye bags! Eye bags are larger and usually purplish in colour.

Although aegyo-sal surgery exists, as well as special tape for this look, you can very easily achieve it with make-up. In this post, I'll show you how!

♡September 2018 Favourites♡

Hello! ♡
Another month has come to an end, ushering in the golden autumn and leaving behind the exhausting heat of summer at last ^^ Though most of this month was 25-30C, it's finally much cooler, though the jump from summer to autumn wasn't gradual this year- it happened overnight! Anyway, this is my first post in the favourites series. It will be a fun way to document what I have particularly liked each month that I'd like to share with you. Hopefully those posts will be a source of inspiration for you, too! Anyway, let's go ^^

♡What's in my school bag?♡

Hello! ♡
I survived three weeks of school! image  It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, and I have a lot of the stuff that I was worried about out of the way now image The only kinda weird teacher is the Geography one, but I only have to make it through this year, and then I'll be done with this subject for good image  I was terrified of maths but so far it's easy, I know that it'll get hard soon, but I guess I just have to do my best. It's enough that I pass, really ^^

Anyway! In this post I will show you my school bag and what's in it, apart from the obvious stuff- so textbooks, notebooks and pencil case. Perhaps this post will inspire your own school bag in case you're lacking in ideas! image So, let's go ~

♡ Korean Gradient Lips ♡

Hello! ♡
In August, I wrote a K-Pop idol make-up tutorial, where I mentioned Korean gradient lips. I like this look a lot, so I thought I'd write about it in more detail in a separate post ^^

Gradient lips are exactly what they sound like. In Asian make-up, small lips are desirable, as opposed to the West. This look makes your lips appear much smaller and cuter. It's also unique and fun!

So, how do you achieve it? It couldn't be simpler! I'll show you three ways to do this.

Method 1

Cover your lips in concealer to lighten their natural colour.

Choose a lipstick (matte won't work for this) and apply it on the centre of your lips.

Smudge it out with your fingers or a q-tip.

Apply more lipstick on the centre of your lips. This time smudge it out slightly and only from the outside, so that it blends with the rest of your lips.

If you wish, finish with a clear lip gloss.

Method 2

Cover your lips in a lipstick of choice- here, matte could work, though glossy is better.

Apply concealer on the outer edges of your lips and carefully blend inwwards.

If needed, add more concealer and / or lipstick and adjust until you get the desired effect.

Finish with a clear lip gloss if you like ^^

Method 3

Get a light coloured lipstick and apply it on your lips.

Take a darker colour that will blend nicely with the first one and apply it on the centre of your lips. The bigger the contrast, the better.

Sorry for the awful lighting here!!

Blend it out so that the colours transition nicely.

Add lip gloss!

See how easy it is? Have you tried Korean gradient lips before? What do you think? What are your favourite colour combinations? Let me know in the comments, and...

Have a lovely day!
